Greetings from Patient Academy for Innovation and Research (PAIR)

“PAIR” is a social good organization that works with patient groups, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. It is set up to develop and maintain capacity amongst patients across the globe, to enable them to engage with their health systems in a more meaningful and strategic manner. One of our initiatives, “Women with wings” is a patient support group for women health issues dedicated to raising awareness about the under highlighted disease areas and its devastating impact on women’s lives including fertility difficulties.

Infertility has become a growing concern in India. According to World Health Organisation’s recent statistics, 1 in 6 people globally are affected by infertility, and this number is expected to rise in the coming years. Despite the increasing demand for fertility treatments, access to such treatments remains limited due to various factors such as affordability, awareness, and inadequate infrastructure. In an effort to support WHO’s call to governments and stakeholders recognising infertility as an issue that requires attention and collaboration to provide evidence-based medical, clinical, and psychosocial interventions, we are conducting a round table discussion to support these efforts.
